New pedestrian bridge in Klaipėda, Lithuania, 2010

The new pedestrian bridge in Klaipeda is the longest and largest pedestrian bridge over the railway track in Lithuania. The new pedestrian bridge in Klaipėda was opened on the 10th of July, 2010. The length of the bridge is over 300 meters, and the width is 3.5m, so it is important to ensure pedestrian safety during the winter.

The Comfort Heat anti-icing and snow melting system was installed and works entirely automatically to prevent slippery and therefore dangerous surface.

Project scope:

Bridge surface area: 896 m2,

Surface dressing: 7- 8 cm of the concrete layer,

Output per m2: 280 W/m2,

Total output: 251 kW.
