What is the difference between single and twin conductor heating mats?

The difference is in quantity conductors in the heating cable and a number of connection cables in the heating mat.

• A single conductor heating mat has 1 (conductor) heating cable and 2 single-conductor connection cables at the both ends of the heating mat for connection to the thermostat.
• A twin conductor heating mat has 2 (insulated conductors) heating cables and 1 (twin-conductor) connection cable at the end of the heating mat for connection to the thermostat.
