How can I measure the resistance of a heating mat or cable?

The resistance of the heating cable is measured between the power cable conductors and the screen.

The resistance between the conductors must be as indicated on the cable label (Ω). The resistance between the screen and the conductors must be at least 0.5 MΩ.
