Is a thick cable better than a thin cable?

A thin floor heating cable is better than thick. A thin heating cable is a new generation cable, where each conductor core is insulated individually with a high-temperature Teflon polymer. A two conductors are joined, shielded and covered with aluminium foil and top over jacket. These cables are a high quality and reliable the new generation heating cables.

Meanwhile, the thick ‘heating cable’s insulation is polyethylene, which maintains only lower temperatures, where both conductor cores are jointed at the same time with polyethylene.

The heating properties of both cables are the same. When comparing the other cable features, thin cable is more flexible, lighter and easier to install, because it has a “memory” that retains the bending radius when bent.
