Do I need to remove the old floor tiles before installing a heating mat in the old bathroom?

The Comfort Heat mats CTAE-100 and CTAV-160 are extremely thin, only 4.2 mm thick. They are ideal for installing heated floors in a renovated bathrooms. They can be layed directly into the adhesive layer on top of the old tiles without changing the existing floor structure. All you have to do is to clean and degrease the surface of the old bathroom tiles. Then lay a thin heating mat and apply a tile glue layer and new tiles. The thin heating mat fits easily into the tile adhesive layer and does not raise the bathroom floor level. You can set up a bathroom heated floor without dust and the extra cost of removing old tiles.
