Do I need to primer the floor before laying Comfort Heat mats?

The heating mat has adhesive strips that must adhere to the floor surface. Therefore, the floor should be clean, free of dust and sharp things. Floor priming is not necessary, but it improves the adhesion of the heating mat to the floor surface.
