Can I use thermostats installed on a DIN hanger without humidity sensor from stairs ice and snow protection?

The low-power stair ice and snow protection system can be controlled by the thermostat ETV-1991 with the temperature sensor and set the required temperature. However, the power consumption is significantly higher compared to using the thermostat ETR2-1550 with ETOG-55 ground sensor.
